The AgileX AUTO KIT is a hardware and software stack designed to accelerate autonomous driving research and education by packaging onboard compute, 3D perception sensors, vehicle interface modules, power conversion hardware, and open-source software into a single mountable kit. Compatible with AgileX UGV, AGV, and AMR chassis, the kit reduces the integration effort typically associated with building a functional autonomy stack from scratch—covering perception, mapping, localization, navigation, and obstacle avoidance in a single pre-integrated package. The software foundation is built around Autoware and ROS, with example scenarios and documentation covering motion control, communication, navigation, and map construction for both beginner and advanced developers.

A commonly published configuration includes an Intel i7-9700 CPU (8 cores, ~3.0 GHz) with up to 32 GB of memory, paired with a RoboSense RS-LiDAR-16 featuring 16 channels, measurement range up to approximately 150 m, accuracy around ±2 cm, and a point rate of 320,000 points/s. The kit is expandable with add-on modules including GPS, depth cameras, and line-following sensors. An LCD display module and USB-to-CAN interface for chassis integration are also included in representative configurations, along with 24 V power conversion to support compute and sensors on robot power buses.
