Description
CatCop is Alpha Robotics' compact security patrol robot for residential communities, streets and commercial complexes. Its enclosed body, 750 × 705 × 1,420 mm and about 75 kg, is built from aluminium alloy and sheet metal on a four-wheel differential chassis that turns in place, and its camera head rotates ±180° horizontally.
It builds its own map through multi-sensor fusion, using a 16-line LiDAR with a 70 m detection range plus ultrasonic sensors, then plans routes and patrols them without a driver, steering around obstacles and returning to recharge by itself. Starlight cameras give 360° video in low light, infrared night vision keeps it working after dark, and an infrared thermal camera adds temperature sensing with alerts. Alpha Robotics describes its autonomy as L4.
On patrol it observes, records and reports. Face recognition, early-warning alerts, a two-way voice intercom for a remote operator, a 10.1-inch display and a loudspeaker for announcements or video messages are built in, and video and alerts travel over 4G, 5G or Wi-Fi. CatCop has no powers of its own: it does not detain or intervene, and the response to an alert stays with your security team. Face recognition and recording in shared spaces are regulated in many countries, so the operator is responsible for signage, consent and data retention.
Within Alpha's patrol range, CatCop is the compact unit. It climbs 10° slopes, clears 55 mm obstacles, fords 50 mm of water and runs 8 hours on a 48 V 20 Ah battery with a 4-hour charge. The Special Forces T1 differs by raising its cameras on a telescopic mast for industrial and scenic sites. CatCop suits estate paths, plazas and building perimeters; send us your site plan and we confirm the fit.
